Powtoons....Wow!

PowToon, a free web-based tool that lets you create animated videos without having to have any animation skill. You can use your own images or take images from PowToon’s database to make your very own animation. You can also make the characters in the Powtoon's picture database move, placed them in different settings/backgrounds, and make them have different facial expressions with just a click of a mouse (and not having to know any code). Here are some screenshots of the work I have been doing to create a digital story about the endomembrane system using Powtoon.

    Cool! I think that this is a great tool for your highschool students. I know it can be time consuming to assemble these videos, but I find that you end up with a greater understanding of the topic, because just like our students who are new to these ideas, we have to start from the beginning and work through common misconceptions and provide clarification upon these ideas while using a multimodal tool!

    I like Powtoon. Do you know if it's completely free? I've used GoAnimate, but only got a free trial and I know the two are similar.

    I used this app for my sotrytelling and I really like it. It is easy to use and you can create engaging, animated videos with a professional look and feel.
